5 Places To Do Yoga (in English) in Barcelona

I regularly get asked, by people who know I'm into yoga, where they can do yoga in English in Barcelona. It just don’t seem that easy to find online and word of mouth is often the best recommendation anyway. So here’s a small list of some of the places I have found in Barcelona that teach yoga in English. Hope it helps you get started on or continue on your yoga journey.

1. The Well Woman Centre Calle Casp 80, 1-3 (nr Tetaun Metro)

Light and bright studio space at The Well Woman Centre

This is where I teach yoga and so it makes start to begin with this one. This beautiful light and bright space just North of Arc de Triomf offers a range of classes and holistic treatments; acupuncture, nutrition, pilates and physiotherapy.  The yoga classes offered are Pregnancy and Post Natal Yoga, Gentle Flow Yoga and Darsham Yam Yoga. There are some classes in English and some in Spanish and French. I can recommend Angela's Gentle Flow class on a Tuesday evening.

2. Yoga Weeks, Carme Street 40, Pral-2, 08001 , Barcelona

Rooftop yoga!

Yoga Weeks is a retreat centre in the middle of Raval housed in a beautiful old modernistic Barcelona building. As well as their retreat weeks they also have a regular classes on a Monday and Thursday evening.  In the summer and on nights of a Full Moon yoga sessions are held on their roof terrace, with live music! Class schedule here.

 3. The Garage by Veronica Blume, Calle de Magalhães, 2, Poble Sec, 08012

Such a beautiful space! The Garage by Veronica Blume

I love this place! Possibly one of the coolest and most tranquil yoga studios I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in Barcelona, well maybe anywhere! Owned by model Veronica Blume this old converted warehouse building is gorgeous! It also houses a huge array range of yoga classes, high calibre workshops and events some in Spanish/ some in English. Def worth a visit!

4. YO-MU

If you fancy something different why not go to these unique yoga classes a go. YO-MU Live music and Yoga Flow sessions were created by Lucy Beckwith and Pepe Arias to get you out of your head and into your body. Resident in an ex vintage shop in the Gotico teacher Lucy leads a Vinyasa Flow class integrated with music, often a live cello. I’m really desperate to go! Watch here to get more of an idea.

5. YogaLinda, c/ Rosa Sensat, 4, 08005, Barcelona

Hot Yoga Studio in Vila Olimpica

This Hot Yoga studio in Vila Olimpica offers regular Vinyasa classes in English. Light and bright studio with a range of classes for different levels. Also offers Yoga with Kids in English every Thursday.

EDIT Dec 18: Also wanted to add two other places that I have discovered recently that teach English in Barcelona. The first is Shanti Vida where I am now teaching, a beautiful peaceful hub right in the heart of the city (Plaza Catalunya). The second is a new place opening in Jan 19 in the Borne called Glow Barcelona, looking forward to checking this out!
