Gather folks! Aina, Berta, and Jo invite you and your family to a celebration of SPRING on SUNDAY 17th MARCH from 10:30h to 13h. We're coming together to honour to the Equinox's perfect harmony of light and dark, and to welcome the spirit of new beginnings in this season of growth. All the magic will unfold in the beautiful countryside of Serralada Litoral Forest near Cabrils, Maresme. Exact location will be provided by email/ WhatsApp nearer the time.
We will be gathering in circle, walking mindfully to gently observe the changes in the world around us, creating flower crowns, busting out some fun family acro yoga moves, getting our hands dirty planting seeds in a arts and crafts activity and ritual and chatting about the significance of eggs before embarking on an joyful egg hunt (sans chocolate). Grown-ups can sip on warm fruit infusions while the little ones snack on fruity delights. Let the fun begin!
You are invited to stay with us and our families and enjoy a simple Spring Picnic after the event if you like! Food not provided, bring your own to share.
This event will be Trilingual - English, Spanish/ Catalan- and is open to all- big and little kids! Babies and little ones of course welcome but the activities will be for 3+.

I have found myself more and more over the years, wanting to live in harmony with the cycles of Mother Nature and wanting to share that expression with my kids and husband.
I have been honouring the seasonal quarter days of the Wheel of the Year; the Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice, and celebrating them with rituals and meaning in circle for some time and I’m so excited to bring these into a format for children and families.
There’s so much busyness and hustle and bustle in modern day life, some how slowing down, getting into nature, acknowledging the seasonal shifts and adding a deeper meaning by remembering the ancient roots of Pagan/ Celtic/ Catalan celebrations really resonates with me. These ceremonies for families bring me a great deal of peace and connection, not only in my own life to the natural world but also to my children, my friends and my community.
I’m also very lucky to live in close proximity to the woods and forests and hills of the Serralda Litoral in Cabrils, Maresme, Spain, where there is a wealth of beautiful natural places on our doorstep, so it seemed amiss not to take these events outside into the natural world where big groups pf children are naturally more relaxed.
Importantly to me, these events are Bi-lingual English and Catalan (Tri lingual if needed), as I really want to honour the culture I live in and the traditions and language that is spoken here. I’m very grateful and happy to collaborate on these events with two wonderful Catalan women and experienced facilitators Aina of Moviment Ciclic and Berta Vives.
In December 2023 we organised a Winter Solstice Event for families in the forests behind our homes in Cabrils, Maresme. It was a huge success! You can read all about it and see pictures and video from the event here.
Our next event, will be in March 2024 and we will be honouring the Spring Equinox. The moment when the earth begins to wake up from it’s Winter slumber. It’s all about the energy of the maiden, the child, of new beginnings, it’s the moment to take a fresh new breath of air. Of course it’s represented in our culture with eggs, bunnies, flowers and we will be incorporating this elements too, as some other meaningful, earth based traditions.
